As the premier bar association in St. Louis, The Lawyers Association provides an important place to see and be seen among Judges and lawyers. Whether it’s attending an educational seminar or on the ballfield, you will have the opportunity to meet and visit with Judges, Prosecutors, Public Defenders and attorneys representing both Plaintiffs and Defense sides of the law.

Social Community
We provide social networking opportunities for lawyers of all ages. Each spring the association holds its annual Picnic and Softball Game (Judges vs. Lawyers), as well as a Memorial Service to remember those members of the Bench and Bar who died throughout the year. Social action involvement includes participating in Habitat for Humanity.
Networking Opportunities
The Lawyers Association of St. Louis was founded in 1934 to include all members of the Bench and Bar regardless of ethnicity and religion. The association was an immediate success. Through the years members of The Lawyers Association have become some of the community’s top trial attorneys and have been appointed to the federal, state and local benches.
Exclusive Events
The Gridiron, the association’s signature program, is a musical spoof on the St. Louis legal community. The Gridiron, which is held each November, is written, directed and performed by members of the association. Other premier events include an annual Judicial Appreciation dinner, a dinner recognizing black history month, and the presentation of the Award of Honor to an attorney who is an outstanding trial attorney whose service to the profession and community merits recognition.
